The Currency in Cyprus as of January 2008 is now the EURO
Up until 31 December 2007 Cyprus had the Cypriot Pound as its currency.
One Cyprus Pound was divided into 100 Cents. Cyprus Bank Notes come in denominations of CY Pounds 1, 5, 10, and 20. Cyprus coins come in denominations of 1, 2, 5, 10, 20 and 50 Cents.
Cyprus is now a member of the European Union, and as of January 1st 2008 has discarded with its own currency, the Cypriot Pound, and has adopted the EURO as its currency
